About Us

Marsh Rail Car Services, Inc.

In 1976, at the request of one of his rail consulting customers, a large chemical company, Mr. Clinton Marsh started reconditioning and testing chlorine safety valves in the basement of his home. This was the birth of Marsh Rail Car Services, Inc. as it is known today. Since that time Marsh Rail Car Services has grown and expanded to become a leader in the reconditioning and testing of all brands and types of railroad tank car valves.

In 1993 Larry Richardson, with his many years of experience in the rail and aerospace industries, took the helm. Since that time Marsh Rail Car Services has continued to grow and has played a major role in the improvement of railcar valve quality and safety. Serving on many committees and task forces over

the years, Larry’s contributions to the industry are still referenced and used today.

Today, with Larry’s retirement, Tom Richardson has taken the reigns as President of Marsh Rail Car Services. Over the last several years, with Tom’s focused vision, Marsh Rail Car Services has made significant investments in personnel, new equipment, shop upgrades, and technology to better meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and to the benefit of the industry as a whole.

Brandon Turner joined us in 2012 and is now our new Vice President of Operations and Mark Lynn who joined us in late 2014 is now the Director of Strategic Development.
